MG SOLAR WATER HEATER

Murickens has developed a water heater using solar energy.  The heat from the sun is used to heat the water by a special method (FPC) so that hot water is available 24 hours, even in rainy days. Since this instrument is fixed on top of the building where sun light can strike the panel, additional space inside the house is not required.  There is no electric hazard and no electricity bill to be paid.  Pay only the initial installation charge and enjoy the natural hot water 24 hours.  Suitable for houses, hospitals, hotels and factories.  We have different capacity of Solar Water Heaters to suit ones pocket.

We have two models solar water heaters Viz:-1. Flat plate collector (FPC) – An  insulated, weather-proofed box containing a dark absorber plate under one or more transparent or translucent covers. This is the most common type solar water heater. Murickens has tested and proved since 30 years  that it is the most suitable type for Kerala's climatic conditions and get 80°C hot water with the help of only normal sunlight. We have Pressurized MG solar water heater and Non -pressure solar water heater in FPC model.
 
Second one is Evacuated Tube Collectors (ETC) which is made up of rows of parallel, transparent glass tubes. Each tube consists of a glass outer tube and an inner tube called absorber which is covered with a selective coating. The demerits of ETC models are, we get only very low temperature, i.e.  heat up 40 ± 5°C.   Water leakage through glass sealing, chance of brakeage of tubes when it is exposed to sunlight, chance to catch fungus inside the tube and consequently lower the heat of water. On rainy season, must have  use electrical heater.

Murickens Kerala solar water heating device contains the solar collector panels, the working fluid (water) and the storage tank. Special black or dark green coatings are used to absorb the energy. The heat absorbed by collector panels with size of 2 meter length and 1 meter width with 9 fins is used to heat water in normal capacities. When solar collectors are exposed to sun light, the water flowing through tubes in the panels is heated. Copper tubes transfer the collected heat to the water more effectively than aluminum, steel or glass tubes. The covering over the collector reduces the escape of collected heat to the outside air. The cover is transparent to short-wave solar radiation, but not to infrared radiation from the selective surface. The back and side insulation, typically R-value 12, reduces conduction losses. Heated water from solar panel collects in a storage tank which is specially designed to preserve the heat for a longtime.
